I get a lot of crap for liking Jack in the box (no pun intended). But I just can’t stay away from their weirdly mushy/crunchy tacos, and it definitely doesn’t hurt that you can get 2 for $1. I’m always looking for a sweet deal.

For those of you who don’t know, Jack in the Box’s secret sauce is a secret worth sharing. I was first introduced to secret sauce by a sorority sister who knew how much I loved their tacos and needed secret sauce in my life. What she didn’t know was that she was giving me my new obsession. Put it on their tacos, burgers, curly fries, mix it with taco sauce, eat it straight from the packet. No judgement –  do as you please! It’s probably just thousand island with a kick of tabasco, but it’s like any of jack’s menu items: leaves you feeling guilty, but always wanting more (like the first shot of fireball). To sum it up it is the stepsister to cane’s sauce. I could probably go on and on about it for days. When you ask for it even the workers might look at you a bit confused, but push for it and ask for a manager if you have to. They’ll probably try to tell you that it was discontinued or doesn’t exist, but don’t believe them. After a trip to the back freezer you will eventually get to enjoy it and all of its glory.
